For all staff and volunteers in the archive sector with responsibility for fundraising in their role, or who are new to fundraising.
Archives are increasingly looking for funds to help them in their duties and to deliver on projects. This one day course is specially designed to introduce archives to the large and varied fundraising landscape and fundraising; it will provide delegates, through a mixture of practical exercises, theory, guest speakers, and case studies, with tools for effective fundraising and help them to develop a long term fundraising strategy.
During the day the following areas will be covered:
- What is fundraising?
- The fundraising mix: what there is and new developments
- Motivations for fundraising
- A successful start: developing a fundraising strategy
- Lottery funding
- Fundraising from trusts and foundations
- Other funding sources
