They will encourage and enable the local and wider community to engage with the Club’s heritage via online community archive (documents, photographs, video/sound recordings) and other means of interpretation including displays at Gloucester Rugby Football Club (GRFC). Description: The project will enable young people to trace the history of cinema in Sawston. The project will focus on a former cinema building adjacent to the college which was closed in the 1970s but is currently being re-established as a cinema. The young people will be working with Sawston Village History Society to make a film, recording older people’s memories of the original cinema. Information collected and recorded will be put on a dedicated website and fed into the Cambridgeshire Community Archives Network (CCAN). The young people will receive training in oral history and film-making.
