We are pleased to announce a series of wellbeing workshops aimed at providing support to our members and helping them to continue with the great work they do.
The workshops will be led by Steve Wood. Steve is a coach, trainer, advisor and author specialising in wellbeing, personal resilience and mental health (especially how to deal with anxiety). Over the last 26 years, he has supported hundreds of people and teams in different sectors to improve, develop and respond well to challenges in a way which is good for them and for people around them.
Well known within the heritage sector
He is well known for his work within the heritage sector, most recently helping people and teams deal with the lockdown and respond to new challenges and ways of working. Over the last two years, he has delivered on-line workshops and one-to-one coaching on wellbeing, personal resilience and mental health to over 400 heritage sector leaders on behalf of The National Archives, The Heritage Alliance and a number of regional networks. Feedback and follow-up work indicate that people have really appreciated these sessions at a time when there is often limited support for wellbeing. They have led to tangible changes in people’s habitual working patterns and lifestyle. Here is some feedback from participants:
Thank you for another inspiring Wellbeing Gym session – it has really helped me to change the way I work
I found the ‘Wellbeing for Team Leaders’ course very useful. Following the course, I have implemented wellbeing action planning with paid staff and volunteers – they really appreciate it
Steve was honest and engaging, involved everyone and listened to their feedback
The first workshop: The Wellbeing Workshop – Time to look after yourself! is open to everyone. This is a practical 90-minute Zoom workshop to refresh your wellbeing and give you tool for the future. It will take place on 16th March 2022 from 1:30pm to 3:00pm
We will then be running three “Wellbeing Skills for CAHG Leaders” workshops in April. These will be interactive, on-line workshops, which will enable you to support your team members and colleagues to maintain and grow their wellbeing. The workshops can accommodate a maximum of 12 participants so we are running the same workshop three times to give more people an opportunity to take part.
The workshops will be held on:
- 20th April 2022, 1:00pm until 3:00pm;
- 27th April 2022, 1:00pm until 3:00pm
- 4th May 2022, 1:00pm until 3:00pm
