Friends of Hoar Oak Cottage

The Friends of Hoar Oak Cottage  won a Heritage Lottery Award in 2013 to undertake research into the people, the place and the lives associated with Hoar Oak Cottage.  This work was undertaken alongside work to preserve the building as a heritage ruin.  The memories, stories, images, historical evidence and mementos are now stored and collated and a selection are available online at this link Collection – hoaroak (hoaroakcottage.org)

Now, in 2023, formal archiving is underway using the National Archives ‘Manage Your Collections’ software and shortly a listing for the Hoar Oak Cottage archive will be available through TNA Discovery.
