Cheshire Military Museum Archive
The extensive archives of Cheshire Military Museum are open to the public on the first Saturday of each month, by appointment only. There is a charge of £10 to use the facilities.
However you can view several items from the archive online, including items from the current exhibition. For example you can see a photograph of Private Thomas Alfred Jones VC. – known as Todger Jones! He captured 102 prisoners by himself at Morval, September 1916 and won the Victoria Cross.
The Museum itself is open every day from 10am-5pm (not Christmas) and has regularly changing exhibitions and Heritage Open Days.
