Auchencairn History Society
The Auchencairn History Society was formed to collect and in doing so preserve the historical information and records of the village. The collection to date includes school roll records, maps, photographs as well as accounts of local residents about various periods of the village’s history.
The society also holds a library of published and unpublished works related to either the village’s history or activities related to the village.
The society’s current projects include digitising archived photographs and postcards and researching Auchencairn’s contribution to World War One.
The society meets quarterly and arranges field trips to sites of historic interest in the area. The society are interested in expanding the materials in the archive and welcome any donations.
