Enjoyed all and really appreciated the diversity of topics/presenters/styles
Before my trip to Galway, I did not really understand what CAHG stood for, and had not heard the Gaelic word meitheal. I found through one inspiring, often emotional, presentation after another, that what CAHG came to represent to me was, deep communication, rendered through; originality, creativity, diversity, love and passion. The immersive ‘Connemara Experience’ on the Sunday was a real highlight, meeting the projects out in the field. I found the visit to Carna, very moving, as who knows how many of my forebears went from there. Between the patience and kind support and welcome of all the conference organisers, together with the great goodwill between all the projects, I felt I had made friends, I was right in the meitheal….with a hundred new ideas about where archives can go.
I loved the presentation of the Community Archives centre in Poland and I’d be interested to hear about similar organisations in the US, UK etc
All excellent and great variety
