Polonia Northern England (PNE)

Polonia Northern England (PNE) is a charitable organisation dedicated to the collection, preservation and accessibility of heritage records and other materials that reflect the history of the post-World War Two Polish diaspora (Polonia) resettled in regions of Northern England and that of their descendants. The charity promotes learning and understanding of this community’s history, its unique identity and contribution to British life.

Polonia Archives hold collections of photographs, documents, personal files, costumes and films that reflect community history and heritage. The charity aims to expand collections to cover the wider area of Northern England and to provide opportunities for community members to collaborate, contribute stories and materials to strengthen the collective memory of this unique and incredible community history.
